Exclamation New Recall on XP (Nov 6th)

Must be on the 550 as well.

The dealers got the notices on the date stated. It is only for certain build dates. Some later 2009's and early 2010's.

OK IC Now would my xp 2010 be considered an early 2010 with a born date of july of 09
I called my dealer they knows nothing about this so called recall Guess time will tell

just called my dealer and my 09 was built 8-8-08 so no recall he said all bikes built from 1-1-09 to 8-31-09 so your 2010 should be included. but i'm still gonna watch mine

Has anyone found the official recall online? I'm at a dealer's tomorrow for the PRV changeout so thought I'd come well prepared to get this scheduled as well.

Where is the build date located, or do we have to call the dealer?

What is the best way to check the ball joints? Jack the machine up and see if the tire has any movement im guessing....

We need get some type of documentation proving the safety recall..

when i called i had to give them my vin # and then they looked it up and told me the build date

It's real. I saw it with my own eyes on two days ago. The service tech read it right in front of me. It's for all XP's within the time frame.
