Don't upset Mongrol b/c he once killed a BEAR with his loose-leaf notebook in 6ft of snow!

Mongrol, so what is your preference for all day snow riding, the 400 or your new 550? (I think I know the answer, lol) Nice pics man!

That was a bear? Wow, I must be tough for an old Geezer.

Jury is still out on which I like best & why. Luv the ride & PS on the 550 and luv the light weight & sportyness of the 400. Surprisingly both pretty equal in the power dept. Time will tell when I can put the 550 through some of the stuff the 400 did.

That looks really cool... Wonder if anyone ever put two on the back of a sport quad... Kinda like the old half track tanks?

I've seen sport quads with ski's up front. I think that would be neat on something with mad power but good torque too... Raptor 700 or outlaw 525IRS...maybe Honda 700X.

I would love to try the 850 with tracks, but I don't think I could talk the lovely wife into it. Mongrel, do they make tracks without the gear reductions? Would a big bore turn them without need for the reduction?

Some tracks don't have gear reduction, particularly for the big bore engines. Polaris tracks have gotten away from the reduction for the past couple of years.

From what I've read the most recent models of the Polaris Prospector tracks lose only about 10% of the power and speed.
