Found the Gas Leak-Bottom Tank Gromet!
Have been smelling gas when storing my wife's 2004 SP500. Found a gromet in the bottom of the tank to be worn out and leaking.
Anyone else see this with their machines?

Had a recall on grommets when first used several years back,but havent had any problems about em since then. But as the old saying goes: Anything man makes can and will break! Hopefully just a freak thing and hopefully not many others have the same thing happening! I dont need any more recalls! Have quite enough of em right now! OPT

**** poor design but it did last 5 years. My 05 has a bolt on fitting on the botom of the tank which makes alot more sence.
I am guessing the old gromet just presses in the bottom hole of the tank and the metal fitting goes in after the gromet is installed in the tank?
That tank was a bear to get out!
