help 2000 trailboss

Default help 2000 trailboss

bike had been missing real bad got in garage and changed the plug old plug was black and sooty pulled air box cover off and it had almost a quart of gasoline in it! Anyone know what would cause this? Thanks alot

Check valve settings.Should be .006 then take carb apart clean both jets good replace needle and seat and check float height

Do you know what the float height is supposed to be? Thanks ftwflh appreciate the help!

Got it fixed last night! Was the needle valve and seat replaced both and a new seal cleaned all the jets and she is running like she used too! Thanks for the help ftwflh!

Turn the gas off when not in use and the needle and seat will last.

Kerbbirds i almost always do but may forget once in awhile. Ran great for 8yrs this is first real problem with the bike! I keep the oil and filter changed plug air filter fuel filter etc. Has been a great bike! Also adjusted valves ftwflh thanks again!
