I already have one for the road...I want an off road one built to handle the shock, and is weather resistant/proof. The 500 isn't the selection for me.

I was thinking about getting the 400 because it already has all the maps on it...the 300 does too? Did you have to purchase any? How much does that run you?

The Nuve 500 is waterproof and I believe shockproof. I rode with it on my Ram handlebar mount for probably about 100 rough miles now and it's never had any hiccups. It's not super expensive and not super complicated. You can add inland waterways by buying a memory card that has the maps loaded.

I've got a Lowrance Expedition Color and it has been great. You do need to load maps on a SD card to get better topo detail but it also accepts lakemaster chips that I use for ice fishing as well.

The Nuvi 500 is the one CanAm puts on their top of the line Limited models.

Garmin - FRS/GMRS 2-Mile, 2-Way Radio/GPS Receiver - Yellow/Black - Rino 110
I had 2 of those and they where ok but the radio portion sucked....The cool thing though if you have two, every time your friend talks to you their position is updated on the screen...Yes,you can see the other unit on the screen!
Example, one year dad and I where hunting;he got a deer so we split up to search for the deer...He found the deer a short time later.I had no idea where he was but as soon as he said something on the Rhino his position updated...With the push of a button it guided me straight to me dad and the deer.....VERY COOL!
With that being said though i think I would look into the Rhino 120 or 130; they have more features and maybe the 2 way portion has been improved...
