Looks pretty similar. Whats your all experience with running the 14" tires Vs. 12" in the rear?

Thx,

The 14's seem to have a flatter profile, but it could be that I have them on 8" wide rims rather than 7" wide. When aired down to 1/2 lb or so in deep snow, the 12's probably spread out more anyways.
Other than that, the 12's are better. They are taller, wider, more rim protection. They are also lighter being the wheels are lighter because it's 12 instead of 14.

I would have definitely stuck with 12's if the XP didn't require 14's.

Some say the 14" wheels give you better control and handling, but with a radial tire that is a wash.

The only advange of 14's over 12's give with the same diameter tire is a little high speed stability(less side wall roll) and looks...
Conversely the 12's will have more sidewall, bag better and save a little weight.

So can I run the 14" on my 12" ITP rims? I know I can run the 26" tires but wasn't sure of the width? See for me I would like to have the extra stability but what presents a problem is when I do my Woods hunting thing. Those dang gonne pines trees in some parts of our hunting property are too tight to squeeze thru, thinking would running the 14" be a problem? (Just doing the math, with 2" more on each side, or am I mistaken?"

Thx,

R'

The 12 and 14 we were referring to is wheel size Not width..

Okay my bad, so what I mean is the 11" Vs. 12" in the width. Does it make a difference?

Thx,

You won't notice the difference in width of the tire. I had a set of each 26x12's and 26x14's. The only thing you will notice is the wheel size. Either one you will be happy, but if you have 12" wheels already, then you already have your answer. Unless you plan on mudding later, I bet you won't have to buy another tire. I put 1,000 miles on my last set in one year and they still looked really good. I've seen others with MANY more miles than that and even they still look good.
