PSI pipe and Clutching?

One tip that I can offer to all of the readers in the forum is, get a small, cheap, note book and keep track of tuning changes, maintenance, parts upgrades, etc. The ability to go back and read these notes is invaluable.

Im expecting the Dyno pipe and reeds in tommorrow afternoon.
Today,
I removed the carb and re-set the clip to its factory middle spot, took out the 30 pilot jet and replaced it with the factory 35 pilot jet.I took out the 250 main jet and installed the 230.I did'nt have a 240 main jet,I will keep a close eye on the plug.
Now how about richening up the oil injection unit a little with the mods?Do I need to,and if so, how do I richen it up?
Thank You,
Bill

I called Dynoport this morning, they did NOT ship my pipe or reeds yet,but they said they both will be going out TODAY.I called RcR racing and ask Rick to send me the spacer for the reeds that you guys are allways talking about. He said they will be shipped in the morning. How does this spacer work and is it easy to install?
Im sorta bummed,Rick, the owner at Dynoport told me last wk that my parts should arrive today or tommorrow at the latest. My pipe never even got done until today.I was really hoping to have all these parts installed before I leave this Wednesday for my ASI instructors training! But,OH WELL?

Don't sweat it Bill. You'll get it going before we take off to the trails. Don't rush to get the thing hopped up! You'll be happier with the work if you relax, do a little at a time. It's still only March and cold... Have fun at training and careful driving--- the car to your destination and back.

Installation is a piece of cake since you're going to be installing the reed cage. The spacer goes between the reed cage and the engine case. The HPD spacer uses allen head bolts insted of hex heads. I cut an allen wrench off with a dremel tool and glued it into a 1/4" drive socket so that I could use a ratchet to tighten the bolts.
The spacer moves the reeds away from the ports and allows more room for the air flow to "turn the corners" into the ports and adds some volume to the crankcase.

Ecorman,
well actually I really was not rushing the job,I was looking forward to it being completed BEFORE my ASI Instructors training took place. The owner of Dynoport told me last wk that the parts would be in Monday or Tuesday of this wk,and thats what I was going by until I talked to them today.I dont rush anything when my ATV is involved, but I do start and finish the job as soon as I can.
CaptNemo,
thanks for the pointers on the reed spacer,I need all the help I can get,
