dynamic brake. bacisly it won't hold when you release the switch while pulling in w/ a great strain on the cable. a mechanical brake will hold.

I have the 2500ce and it does not have the brake as Stendori stated.I have been rack deep in the thickest Michigan mud around and have seen smoke poor from my warn it was soo hot and still chugging along, a great winch never , never made me walk.I would recomend the3.0 all day long just because I wish I hade more, more and more.. Never enuff power when you need it..


Still rolling the "lil" 400.

hey savage, glad to see your still kicking around. th ci is the common model and the ce was a special order and my dealer still screwed up and ordered me the damn ci so i don't have the meck. brake either although i wished i had.
