Default 08 800efi shutting down

Hello everyone. First off I'm new here and want to tell everyone thanks for all of the info posted here! Awesome forum! On to my question. I fell through the ice yesterday into about knee high water. It took some playing around but I got it out. About 45 min later it shut off with no warning signs. I stopped put it in park and started it back up. It continued this the rest of the day. At times it would go 20 min or more without shutting off while other times it would do it five times in 10min. Any ideas?

welcome to the forum. when you went to starrt it back up did it always start right away? when you turn the key on when trying to start it back up do you hear the fuel pump prime it self for a few seconds? it sounds more like an electrical/ water issue maybe from corsion. when it does shut off, do you have any power any where like to the pod?

It starts up perfectly. There isn't any power to the pod, its like I shut it off. I was also leaning towards an electrical problem.

it must be an eletrical issue if there isn't power to the pod. start checking connections for sure to see if there got any corrsion of bad connections.

I don't know if it's the same, but my Son's predator did exactly the same thing and we found it to be a relay on the left side by the battery that was corroded. It was in a black tape looking envelope and I cut it open, unplugged it, and went to Napa and got a new one. We never had the problem again. We resealed the envelope with duct tape and plastic afterward.

Thanks for the info! I wire brushed all terminal connections and checked all the plug in connectors that were somewhat easy to ge to then rode for about half hour with no problems. I guess I wont know for sure till I can get out for a long ride but hopefully problem solved.
