pred 90cc 2006 no spark

Default pred 90cc 2006 no spark

hi i brought a non working quad and got it started by cleaning the stator it was full of mud dirt etc ,i have since had to replace the cyclinder and piston now it wont start i did no miles between the stator clean only started it in the shed now no spark i cant understand how it was going then stopped i have checked all wires and done a coil check ,stator i only get 1 reading from the stator test which there are 5 tests to do so i take it this is the problem im stuck

Stators are the main reason for loss of fire on the youth 2-strokes. You can clean the stators and flywheels and may get spark for awhile,but usually short out.You can also check the safety switch by jumping or tying the two wires together. If still no spark would suspect stator. cdi and and coil problems are rare.
