Well, I also have a 2000 polaris xpedition 425 cc and I currently have 26 inch mudbugs. I had tire rubbing in the front also. I did buy from highlifter, the progressive lift springs/cams. My tire/fender rubbing is gone. So it worked.

However, now I have bought 27 inch mudbugs. I don't have them on yet. I am wondering if I may have tire/fender rubbing again.

I personally, don't want a lift kit, because then that is the weakest thing on your atv and it does cause extra wear and tear on some stuff. If I have
fender rubbing, I am not sure of my next move, but
it has to be a fix other then lift kit.

I believe your fender rubbing will disappear and the front is real stiff with those progressive lift setup, which should help you out. Since the cams are right on top of the springs there is no angle changes, so any extra wear, I think is minimual with progressive lift. I don't have a plow, but I know my machine and if I did have a plow on. The progressive lift stiffness would have
done the trick. rangerchet
