Default 2007 sportsman 500 EFI crankcase seal

Does anyone know how to check for a leaking crankshaft seal. I think it may be sucking air by, but not sure how to check. Thanks in advance for any help you may be able to provide.

a riskey way is to srapy starting fluid down behind the primary clutch(or take it off)onthe crank seal to see if the idle raises up when the bike running. if it does you have a leak. imo

Does the mag side of the crankshaft ever bother or is it most generally the primary clutch side.

The only problems I've had on the 4-stroke 500 seals is on the clutch side, usually distort or even pop completely out. OPT
