Default Future Polaris rider?

He's been on atv's with me since he was a year old but way too young to solo on a machine like this. I sat on the rear and let him drive it around some cleared out property around my house and he did great. Know's how to feather the throttle perfectly! Big step up from the Viper 50 that he dwarf's!

Looks like he'll be ready sooner rather than later.

He's around 5 ft tall and 170+ pound's but my daughter and son in law live in Houston. Took him last week to the Saint's-Card's game and he coudn't wait to ride the atv last Sunday. Twice I had to pressure wash it He also got to shoot a .410 for the first time so in all he had a great weekend, me too!

My wife is only 5 foot 4 and about 110 pounds and she drives a Sp 450.........When he gets a good since of judgement and control in his head the size factor really don't matter. With all new riders they need some seat time and hours logged on the Quad and before you know it away they go on there own.
My daughter is only 10 now and I had a PowerMax 150 cc Auto for her when she was 8 and she still rides it. One thing I did notice is that she has great control even backing up into the garage.
When I was 10 no way did I have any riding skill like that . I was still on my BMX bike,....LOL.......LOL.........Caper...........
It is great having the family riding......

I'll be at the game tomorrow. We'll be tailgating from about 12 to 5PM and then head into the dome. Temps down here have been in the 70 to 80 degree range with a little rain expected tonight but clearing early AM. I live about 65 miles SW of New Orleans so I'll leave here at about 8:30 am. My oldest daughter and her husband are already in town so I'll meet 'em there. Ought to be a great game but I've been a Saint's fan since they started in 1967 so you know who I'm pulling for. Geaux Saint's!!

My cuz bought both his kids (big boys) Hawkeyes. They were 13 and 15 at the time. He really wanted them to have their own and didn't want to buy any under a 300 class only to have to sell in a couple years and buy something more suitable. From the start they handled theirs quite well, they had the heigth and and controlability from the start. So I do believe its all in the individual handling.

Kudos to your son wearing protective gear, ready to ride!

So Dad gonna spring for a SP330/400 or what?

Cheers,

R'

Actually that's my grandson but if he keep's doing good in school I'll be happy to chip in with his mom (my youngest daughter) and my son in law and get him a 125 to 250 range machine and only let him ride it under strict supervision and probably have it speed limited.
