Good point, I don't know, but the XTR are rated at 26.6 lbs and 33.3 lbs for the 27-9 and 11-14's. That seems heavy (119.8 lbs) for ATV tires.

How about it does anyone know what the terriblethons weigh?

The terrathons are a terrible choice to put on a close to 10k machine. They are light and paper thin.

The carlisle terrathons weigh 18lbs each up front (26x8x14) and 22lbs each in the rear (26x10x14). So that's about 80lbs. total. I'm planning on going with the 28" Zillas because of the slight weight increase (weighing a total of 98lbs. as previously mentioned). Not bad for around a 4.5lbs increase in weight per tire considering the height difference and going to a 6 ply instead of 3 ply. The 27" XTR's seem too heavy a tire for my liking, even though I know there are heavier out there.

That's correct. I read somewhere that the rotational mass of a tire is a bigger factor in driveline stress than just the actual "dead" weight of the tire. Just don't ask me to explain it. Some of the experts might speak up.
