here are the codes=45,46 are barometric pressure/manifold air pressure sensor low and high(45 is low and 46 is high) and 55=MIl circuitpen load or shorted load/short to ground or battery. didn't see anything in the service manual on deleting codes except it says dealers are able to read the codes and what they mean.

Default Clearing codes

thank you stendori. I Have a Clymer's repair manual with all the codes. The manual say's to disconnect the positive battery cable for 20 seconds to clear codes but that does not seem to work.

if unhooking the battery doesn't work after say a cuple of minutes then i would say the dealer might be right. see what it says about the fix for the bad codes. i didn't go that far to see a test or fix for it.

You will have to fix the problem before the codes will cleare if it is like a car. If you do not fix the problem/bad sensor, as soon as you hook the battery back up the sensor will just send the same code back to the computer and it will keep doing that until the problem/bad sensor is fixed. I should have been clearer when I replied the first time. My Bad. As I said before I am not an expert on the computer system for an ATV but I turned wrenches for a living for about 8 years on cars in the 80,s and I am guessing that it is not that different.
To make it short as long as there is a problem you will not be able to clear the codes.
Hope this will help. If not you might want to PM one of the guys on here that work at the dealerships and see what they have to say. Just a thought.
