The 300 is a tank. If there are any issues it is a easy fix. We have a 1996 that we borrow all the time. It is a great toy. Price sounds fair.

Thanks for the quick replies. I too think it will be a great starter quad for him. The only thing I don't like about it is the full time 4x4 but I think there is a kit for disengaging the front end. We'll see if brother cares once he rides it.

OK guys I managed to pick up the honda 300 4x4 for $1000 even. I'm going to go through it this week and check everything over. I got one question about the carb. I've also posted this same question on the honda link but I'll ask you guys as well. On the left hand side of the carb (driver side) there is a ****/screw that looks similar to the idle screw in the side of the bowl. Anybody know what this is for? drain maybe?

Well I probably should have paid more but the beer was flowin and I was nit picking items like a crack over here and the tires are shot and so on. Actually there was only a few cosmetics with this machine (easy fixes) but might as well play it up.

Nothing special about the old 300's (except that it's faster than the Foreman 450), but that is one machine that is almost impossible to kill. haha

Good find!

Tell her to just be happy he's home standing rather then laying out and let him have his fun....been there done that after comming home form diff places over my 12 yrs one thing I learned...after you been there and done that then you tell me what I can and cannot do..

Far as cost took me a few weeks to find my 95 sportsman 400 cost was 2500 its in ok shape for age and runs good...around here atv cost becuse we have tons of trails form mud pits to smooth to rock climbing..

Ebay had some ok looking ATv's for sale not long ago but not for 2K...not shure were your at but look here for there used ones good prices and its a small dealer that checks them out before hand if...if needed I can go look over it and get pics or be there to make shure it ships ok..only 18 miles form me so no biggie..........SCHREFFLER EQUIPMENT INC PITMAN, PA (570) 648-1120

Might be the best way to go is have a few riders from the forums look around for ya as well at the small dealerships atv places...if they have the time..
