Default Rear Spring Change Out Question

I ordered some HD springs from EPI for my dads '02 700 SP, and they are a couple inches longer than the stockers. We havent taken the stockers off yet, we just held the new ones up next to the stockers. Are they supposed to be longer? Do you have to compress them? Spring compressors or special tools required?

Part# WE321519

Thanks for any help guys....

Well it looks like you got the right # judging by their website...Yes you will need compressors for the rears.....I'm sure they will be closer in length when the stockers are removed....They are probably compressed a bit seeing they're still installed....I'm sure you will get more help here......The fronts are easy without any need for compressors...

Default springs

yes you will have to compress the old springs to get them off the shocks and compress new ones to get back on the rear shocks.
