Default Another question about the RZR!

I test drove a RZR today on a small track behind the dealers business. I noticed that it seemed to vibrate a lot. The track was so small, I couldn't get it over 20 mph. The dealer said when you get it over 30 miles per hour, the vibration smooths out and isn't noticeable. Anyone with a RZR know if that is true?

Thanks

Ted

Ted, There's a RZR section on these forums, I believe. Might want to delete this post and move over there for more info.

With that said, I rode an RZR before I got my XP850. No comparison in ride comfort, and speed. I didn't like all the noise and rattles. Maybe they'll get better some day. The power to weight ratio is weak. Not for me.

Funride,

Thanks for the info. I checked the RZR forum out and it was an echo chamber. No visible signs of life.

I guess it's possible enough RZR's haven't been sold to generate much chat about them. I'll look around some more and possibly find some place they are chatting.

I probably would have bought the 850 also (70 hp is better than 40 hp), but the wife wanted the roll cage. She's had some pretty bad spills over the years and I don't blame her. It may be hard for me to use a steering wheel instead of handle bars, but I'll get used to it.

Thanks again.

Ted

I own an 550 XP and also ride a RZR often (MY friend owns Two of them) and have not noticed the vibrating..It took a while to get used to setting in instead of on for me.Now I enjoy switching after a few hours of trail riding..P.S. I am 66 years old and the Rzr owner is 70...The 550 has 3200 miles on it and RZR has 4600 miles so we do a lot of riding..

How have the two machines been reliability wise?

can't imagin why it would be vibrating under 20 mph where most people might be riding so i wouldn't even consider that bike it that were true.

The Two RAZR'S have had only one problem. When new the first one had a leak in air filter box. This was fixed by dealer and been trouble free since then..(dust entering airbox)The second one has been trouble free..The 550 XP Has had a couple service bulletins which were taken care very quick by our dealer. (BAIR'S INC NORTH CANTON OH )..No problems since.....The problem we are having now is two much snow to ride..We normally ride every two weeks..

Yeah, the RZR Forums.net is the ticket.

There was just something about bouncing around on my tailbone in something that is so underpowered. I rode two different ones.....one in Maine and one in Manchester, NH. Was not impressed either time. Only took 2 minutes on the XP to make up my mind over Grizzly 700.

I certainly can understand the roll-cage situation. There's something kind of scary about not being able to bail out though, if I'm strapped into something off road. What if it flipping into water and your head was submerged.....Maybe that's why they ride them in the desert so much
