Flipping tie rod ends?
#2
I haven't done it personally but from what I've read different guys have had different results...Some worked out great then I've heard of others that had slight "binding" problems...I think it has to do with slightly different ride height due to after market springs or spacers but not 100% sure...

I put the HD springs on my 2006 Sportsman X2. I had the dealership try to flip my tie rod ends but he said that it was causing the steering to bind. I ended up getting 3/8" longer 3/8x24 wheel studs pressed in my front hubs #186 POLARIS EXTENDED WHEEL STUDS +3/8x24 -Grade 8 : eBay Motors (item 120537912070 end time Mar-08-10 15:39:31 PST) I then screwed a hardened 3/8x24 nut on each stud, added a hardened 3/8 washer and then the wheel with another washer and hardened nut on the outside. I was able to fit 9" wide ITP Mudlite XTRs on with about 3/8" clearance or so.

I put 10" Zillas on the front of my 05 and did not have to flip the tie rod. The Zillas on ITP Black Delta wheels though. The backspacing puts them out another inch, I believe. The right front wheel clears by about 1/8, but the left side is only about 1/16 from the boot on the tie rod and occassionally it will very gently rub the boot. I put the homemade spring spacers on it already and have HD springs on order that should arrive this week. I'm hoping to get that tire just a little bit further out while I have the chance.
You might want to look into getting a different set of wheels to avoid swapping the tie rod?
