Default My new toy!

Could'nt pass this one up. 2007 sportsman 500 H.O. EFI with polaris 2500 winch and quick attach polaris blade. 344 miles 46 hours $4000 even. Good deal? I have a few questions about this model. When going into reverse I hear a clunk when I give it throttle. I think I've read this is common. second question is regarding the winch. It works ok but a couple of times it will not respond until you have repeatedly hit the switch. contactor going bad? Third, What issues should I keep an eye out for on this model? Overall this is a very clean machine. Just picked it up today so I have'nt had time to look it over real good as of yet.

Sounds like a good deal. Looks great. No idea on those issues but neither sound terribly serious.

The guy I bought this from said the winch came with the quad so I would assume it was an 07 winch? I'll have to take a look and see if it's the 8 post or not.

Bummer! I would say it has to be the contact or the switch itself. Let us know what you find.

Not a big issue. I could always yank the contactor from the old quad until I get a new one if thats the problem. My wife is taking over the magnum and she won't go into the places that I will anyhow.

I think the "clunk" is normal also- I just finished venting on another thread about this. You'll most likely hear it as you're riding as well.
