Default Is warrenty worth buying??

Is a 5 year warrenty worth buying for 1500 bucks?? Or should i try to finagle with the, and get a 3 year and a winch?? 1500 sounds like to much to me.. How many 800 owners have used it after the 6 months it comes with??

well i got suckered into it with my new purchase, but i like the added security. i got 5 years because just like i said, added security. as time goes on, parts get beat on and wear, so sooner or later something will happen, hopefully not, but if it does your covered

A big part of the warranty is your dealer, and if they will go to bat for you when it comes time for repairs. I don't generally go for the warranties, I view them as a gamble. The house is betting the product won't need repair and you are betting it will. The house usually wins...

I personally don't think the majority of warranties are worth it. They probably make more money on that warranty than they do on the ATV itself. There's a reason businesses push warranties, no matter if it's car, ATV, computer, cell phone, microwave, etc...It's because that's where they make the largest profit.

The way I see that warranty...if you pass on it and happen to need a repair, it's probably going to cost you less than $1500. Good chance you won't ever need it. Chances are your never going to recoup your "investment".

Warranties have a huge profit margin...that's why they sell them...NOT to protect the buyer.

The dealer has a lot of "wiggle" room on the warranty price. $1500 is way to much. I had my old dealer talked down to $600 on a 4 year warranty on an 850. I still didn't buy the quad... but I did find out there is a LOT of markup in the warranty price.
