I have installed the KFI winches on 5 different machines and all have been holding up to all abuse... I went with them because they don't have plastic housings. These winches get used too... not the occasional 1 a year users... Save your money... Buy 1 for the front and the rear for the same money!

Thanks for the info Jon, I'm putting my new KFI winch on my 500 Touring today! Hopefully, I can get this install right the first time!

My question is, does anyone have any experience (good or bad) with KFI winches? Or is there another reasonably priced winch that's worth looking at?
I Have a KFI 3000 I also bought a KFI mount for another machine for my warn XT 2500 and I LOVE both winches KFI makes there own winch in there facility in Minn they are a family run corporation. The winches are not made in, or come from china. Say what you want about warn but I have never had any problems with either of the winches and I've used them pretty hard. I know alot of my friends have had nothing but problems with Gorrilla and superwinches. KFI is similar to warn on the outside but if you look inside or call KFI you will see there is some differences. If a warn is out of your price range go with the KFI you really won't be dissapointed at all.
