Default Lift kit question.

I've got my eyes on a set of 27'' Swamplites and on 12'' Motorsports Reaper M10 wheels for my 08 500 Touring. Do I need a lift kit to run this set up? Or can I run them with the stock set up? There's a lot of room under the fenders with the stock OEM 25'' tires, but without actually putting the 27's on the bike (buying them) I can't tell if they'll rub or not. Any thoughts?

you should be able to run the 27" tires w/ out using a lift. i don't have one on my 800 and rarely do i rub unless i'm overloaded and pushing it hard.

My 27's worked with no rubbing issues so you should be fine.

Thanks for the info, it is very much appreciated!!! Looks like I can take the cost of a lift off the tally sheet for upgrades.

I ran 27" MudLites on some ITP Rims on a 08 800 Touring and never rubbed or had any problems.
