Default Installing power steering on 850 xp

Before anyone feels the need to tell me that the xp models are sold with power steering, I am aware of this fact. Now, I have recently added some 31" outlaws and a stealth snorkit to my xp and have found that the steering is very stiff. Does anyone know if there is an aftermarket kit available, or if anyone has attempted this conversion. All help is appreciated.

I would think that it would be very costly to do so. i believe the factory PS system is around $800 on the xp model ($1200 in added msrp if i remember correctly)

there is an aftermarket system that is out for the older sportsman 800 styles, they are around $1100 if im not mistaken, i cant remember the company that makes them though.

REF: ATV Power Steering, Performance All Terrain Vehicle Steering Components

Its ATR who makes it for aftermarket. I think some poster in one of my former threads said that ATR designs it for the stock PS too, but I can't confirm that. Anyways, my dealer did say that you could always have it added if I bought a non-PS new XP model.

Lets us know what you find out etc. we all would like to benefit.

Thx,

R'

You would have to buy the EPS version's gas tank too. The non-EPS version has a 5.25 gallon tank, the EPS version is 4.5 if I recall.
