I asked the adjuster about this...I assumed the same thing. He said as long as you repair it and show it's repaired...it can be insured. He also said used parts are fine. We will keep it insured...it's not so much about the ATV as it is injury coverage. If we hit someone else or someone on our machine gets badly hurt...they'll be covered. This is what i understood anyway...we do need to call our agent and confirm but it sounded like it wasn't a problem.

I had a chance to talk with our agent this afternoon. Insuring the ATV again isn't a problem...all they ask is that we produce reciepts for all replaced parts and show that the machine is fixed. She said pics of the break down showing each damaged part and pics as the bike is being put back together and finished project would be easiest to show it was repaired.

As of right now the machine is dismantled, the rear plastic, axle, swing arm, clutches clutch cover, brakes...etc...etc...etc. Pretty bare bones now. I have the swing arm and rear axle sitting here, probably won't get to those till after the weekend. Waiting on a few odds and ends that were ordered(speedo key and speedo cable). I had some prior damage...front rack, low beam light and headlight pod, sent the payment last night, those parts will be shipped tomorrow.

I can't find anything else twisted or broke. In all I have about $250 invested. All parts except the speedo key and cable are used parts.

I should have it all back together in a week or so.

Good to hear they treat you well. I just picked up progressive for my 07 sp. a couple weeks ago. Very happy with the coverage they offer and with my clean driving record and a MC. endorsment it only costs me $75 a year, full coverage including up to $3000 worth of accessorys added to the bike with a $500 deductable. For that price I could'nt afford not to insure it.
