06 sportsman 90 acts like a bad starter

Default 06 sportsman 90 acts like a bad starter

I thought the starter was bad and replaced it and it still turns over slowly. It is not the battery and not the relay. Will start easily with the kick starter. If i pull the plug out it spins over fine. Out of ideas any suggestions???

Quite possibly the idle/start gear inside the clutch housing is causing the slow turning. If battery is new or good as you say and new starter,then pull the cover and inspect the gear,shaft,and wave washer for wear. These items get a lot of clutch/belt dust and could just need to to be cleaned up. OPT
