2003 Sportsman Speedometer warning?
I have a 2003 Sportsman 500. On the digital screen area of the speedometer the little hour glass blinks on and the word "SEAEr" (Top arm of E missing) appears for about 5 seconds then looks normal for about 15 seconds then blinks on again. Does anyone know what this means? I can't find my manual, I have reset the service clock, and disconnected the battery for 1/2 hour, reconnected it and it still does it.

Could the word be "Statr" (STATOR)? my 14 year old daughter rode it and thats what she read it as. I replaced the battery as I knew it was weak and tested the charging system and at idle it charges right at 13 volts, and it still does it. Has anyone had their stator go out and have a code like this show up on the speedo?
