Default XP Jumping Out Of Gear ?

In L, 4x4, & down hill with a little bit of throttle, my 09 550 XP seems to jump out of gear with a clunk, occasionally. Most of the time it seemed to re-engage but once (was going faster than normal, maybe 14 mph) it jumped out when I got off the throttle and free wheeled pretty fast till I got on the brakes.

Anyone else experience this?

sounds like it is barely in gear and the lack of pressure form the throttle knocks it out. happens in trucks sometimes when the gears don't mesh correclty. hope the internal gears are not the issue. anyway to check shifter or adjust linkage?

That's exactly what it feels like. Had a stock '46 ****** Jeep that did that.

Question

This the first I hear of this kind of issue. Hope it is nothing serious...

If it has linkage rods like the 500, I would say they need a little adjusting. If there not set right they will go into gear but can jump out at any time. The good thing is its only a 20 min try and error thing.

Hasn't done it since the first instance. Maybe I didn't get it right into gear when I changed. Probably driver created error. I HOPE.
