Default ebs bushing

I have 06 sportsman 500efi and its really hard to shift ranges, so I'm thinkin maybe the ebs bushing is worn out?? Also when its sittin in high, low, or reverse there's a slight whine coming from the clutch it sounds like? I'm thinkin it could be the belt??

does the bike want to creep ahead? the wine could be the belt actually burning as your sitting there if its rubbing. check to make sure the bike is isling around 1200 rpm's as well. it could be the ebs bushing or the fiber type washers on either side.

try 1150 idle. Look at the belt with cover off belt should ride in center of primary not touching primary sheaves. Secondary should not be turnind when idling / very little if any.

May need a new belt. A Worn out belt will ride low on the pulleys causing a slight creep. Depending on the mileage and sage the belt may be worn.

it is also possiable that the belt can shrink if it was hot and got cold water on it as well. happened on my 02' 500

went to the dealer today and he gave me 4 shims and said the clutch is mis aligned. would a mis aligned clutch cause the slight whine when its in gear? im thinking that if the clutch is mis aligned then the belt isn't riding where its suppose to causing the whine?

I would rebuild the primary starting with the fiber washers
