axle help

while tryin to pull rear axle on sportsman 600 pulled the inner cv with the c clip out of the housing now how do i get the remaining part of the axle out of the rear end expensive fix just to replace the prop shaft bearing any help welcome can the joint be put back together bearings and all.

Lots of penetrating lube over a few days will help to loosen the C clip thats holds the axel in. Then just tug hard. If you can get a slide hammer to fit that would greeat but for me I just kept tugging and tugging and eventually it just popped out.

Apply neverseeze to the splines also and you won't have it sticking next time it has to come out. Wish they did that at the factory. Would save a lot of hassle/time!

Finally got the bearings out had to pull rearend what is the best way to get old fluid out the rear end got water in it also can u put the plunging cv back together or do you you have to buy it that way came apart bearings and all trying to remove shaft
