does anyone know if a predator 500 have a compression relief on it if so how does it work

 

i dont think so becasue it is not a high compresion engine. i use to put mine in 3rd gear and push and jump start by myself. and that was when i first bougth her

 

mine starts fine cold runs fine when it gets hot it still runs fine but when its turn off and i go to start it want to kick back like it has to much compression let it set a few mins. it will start but still hard for the starter to turn

 

check your air box to see if it is full of oil/water and binding your engine. it could also be your valves need to be adjusted

 

i know you said it starts fine cold btu you can check your battery for voltage as well. but i think your safe

 

just checked valves in. are 3 thousands a littel tight ex are right on 10

 

well seems like you found your problem i would start with resetting and trying her again. what kind of plug are you running? or just stock??

 

i ahve not even looked at the plug i bought it with a bad top end the guy said the dealer told him,turn out i put a new stater clutch in it fired right up
