700 scrammy project . . . .

just about have everything back together, tossed the plastics back on to check fitment (gave them a quick coat of sating black, and with the red seat and big motor the thing looks pimp
), i had to adjust the carb angle to lay them flat as the floats weren't working properly and they were dumper raw fuel into the cyclinders. Also i'm having to change the throttle out for something a little more thumb happy. i had the exhaust in ready to go, but after chatting with some sled guys i'm going to redo it to get it closer to the manifold, hopefully i can get some pictures up in the next day or so. As of right now the biggest set back is the exhaust, then its tieing up loose ends (finsih mounting the plastics, tie up the electrics and hoses, paint all the fresh metal work, add in a couple extra reinforcements), then its tuning, and get the foot rests in there.

Been busy and had a couple things pop up, but some updates:
got the exhaust in with the expansion chamber right up close to the manifold, and made a short muffler, reduced it down to the factory outlet size, muffler is basically a glass pack with some baffling inside to make things a little but quiter, ran new vacuum lines, and added a few frame reinforcements. For tomorrow its finish hooking up the new throttle, tie up the throttle, choke, and anyother cables and wires that are in the way. The its add a few extra supports for the cvt cover, and the rig up some sort of shield for the back side.

the inside of the pipe, this was wrapped in steel wool, there are holes on 4 sides, and is about 6-8" long, and the same 1.75 od as the factory outlet, theres also some baffling on the inside to, and I already notice a difference in the backpressure as its harder to pull over, i will eventually call up the performance pipe makers and see if they can make something up for me. for the outside i used a chrome
exhaust tip and some reducers to hold everything together then welded it up.

yeah its offical i'm going to hurt myself on this thing lol, got everything wrapped up aside from a few things i'm going to do over the winter when i'm not riding, have to fix a few wiring issues (fan and awd button). Anyway took it for a rip today and its frickin fast lol, its a good it has no rear traction lol it spins till it the quad catches up to top speed lol, once it has traction wheelies will be an issue. Also balance wise its very good, suspension seems to have livened up with the weight of the motor in the center, the front steers a heck of a lot better too, overall the thing is a blast, i'll work on getting some vids up as soon as i can get someone to video tape me.

Sooooo aside from being stupid busy with work which has kept me from getting any vids and doing any further work, i've managed to squeeze in a set of triple pipes as i really hurt the performance of the motor with what i did to the factory pipe, anyway got it running today and took it out for a efw quick rips to check the jetting, and man is it quick, the first 0-4500rpm or so is similar to the stock 400, then it hits the power band and takes off like a rocket ship, gotta make sure you're holding on tight lol.
In terms of wheelies, its actually pretty stable, the weight and balance is very good. You do notice the extra weight down low,and the extra width gives it a porky feeling, but its very nimble. So anyway hopefully once i get done with my next two week 12hr work day shift i'll be able to get some videos up, for now here's a teaser of the new pipes, i'll gett better ones tomorrow.

, but yeah its going to be a blast, hoping to go out today, but it'll probably be tomorrow
