1995 Polaris 300 4x4 Strut/Spring Topping Out! Help!
Have a 1995 Polaris 300 4x4 with Mcpherson Struts. The OEM front struts were shot so I replaced them with some gas struts from sledpartsguy. Well the front struts and springs were "Topping Out". The best way to explain is everytime the wheel left the ground the strut would extend to its farthest length and thunk. Now with the gas struts, it is even worse. The front wheel camber is also maxed out. The front wheels are riding on the outside of the tires. There is no sag in the front end. Will loosening the two bolts on the strut clamps and moving the struts up from the bottom of the clamp sleeving help the machine start to get some sag? How do I get the thunk to stop and how can I get some sag?
