Default Great weekend ride-minor axle mayhem-might be selling the beast to get a RZR!

Awesome weekend riding out at the shack. My Bro took me to a trail that had a wicked nasty swamp. Was up to the racks and wheeler was bobbing but was still able to ride around in it pretty easy. Wish I had pics but no one else could get back there. Had a trouble-free weekend until heading out for a ride Saturday night. Cut through a clear cut with tall grass and ran over a huge stump I didn't see. Cleared it no problem and got on the trail. Started haulin and something felt funny. Pulled over and saw my right rear axle had popped out of the diff. Luckily it wasn't damaged and I used a come-a-long to squat down the rear and pop it back in. Hit her hard after that with no issues.

Also ran into a guy with a pretty cool RZR. Talked with him a bit and thinking about selling my 800 to get one and mod it. Thinking RZR-S so I can still be legal on most the trails.

Switz, the RZR-S is a pretty wide SXS. The regular RZR is the one that is 50 inches.

Thanks! Got my wires crossed. Going to go look at some RZR's this week. If I find a decent deal the 800 will have to go. Like to keep it for the girlfriend but she doesn't like driving it because of all the mods. Still working on getting her a stock 700 or 800 so I'll have that to play around on too.

I really like the RZR's as well. I will be selling my 850 and getting one of those as soon as my son is old enough to ride in one.

Yeah the S Moose is pretty big. I looked at one too...Too big for the trails here in Maine. The smaller one would be fun. I'm waiting for 85hp version when/if it comes out.

Switz....that decison is going to cost thousands on the loss of your tracks, the new tires, the machine itself when traded and all the new gear you'll need for the RZR, the new RZR and taxes. You'll need to mentally prepare yourself for a big bill.....sounds like you already have

Good job getting that axle back into place on the trail. That would have been a tow back for a lot of other folks.

Tracks aren't going with the wheeler. Going to use them on the RZR and/or the girlfriends popo when I pick up one for her. Shouldn't really lose any $ on mine. Got an awesome deal on the wheels/rims and other stuff I've put into it. If I don't get what I want for it I'll keep it and the RZR will have to wait until Spring.
