when to rebuild clutch
I always had the shops rebuild the clutches on my sleds.
03 sportsman 500 h.o.
O.D. reads under 600 miles, I don't know if it is actual.
after riding a while it is a little hard to change gears (h to l or r).
after warm, at idle, seems to want to move forward (very slitely) if left in gear and idling on flat surface.
under 20 mph, slows down very fast after throttle is released.
Does all this sound normal or do they need a rebuild?
As you can tell, I'm new to the atv thing. Thanks.

welcome to the forum. no it's not normal for the bike to start creeping while in gear. check your idle and it should be down around 1150 rpms. if it's not idling too high, then the ebs bushing, fiber washer could be going bad in the primary clutch. special tools are required to take apart and replace these on the clutch. your belt could be out of alignment as well. check your front engine mount to see if is still good(sometimes they will brake and throw it out)by maybe prying up to make sure rubber isn't broke. hope that helps a little.
