Default Front AWD Hub Leaking - How Hard to DIY fix?

Guys,

I have a 2000 Polaris SP500 with ~2200 miles. I noticed during my last ride prep that the driver's front hub was almost bone dry, and that the inside of that's tire's rim had a 'sledge' build up inside it. So, it seems that the hub is leaking... probably from the inside seal.

How hard, and what's involved, with replacing this seal? Is it a DIY job, or take it in? I'm fairly handy and do most maintenance/repair myself. Also, anything else I should replace while in there with the left hub disassembled? I'm assuming that the hub fluid is what lubricates the wheel bearings, so I'm a little concerned that that bearing may be bad/overheated since I'm sure I've put a couple hundred miles on it w/o the proper level of hub fluid.

Will have to take the hub apart and replace the the seal at the very back, you will be able to look over the bearings and everything else while you have it apart, dont know the number but if you get the seal out without destroying it you can probably get one at your local parts store.Make sure theres no big groove in the race that the seal rides on.
