polaris fan cheap fix
just changed a bunch of parts on my bike, used those nappa 338 ujoints on both shafts, new ball joints tie rods and rear bearings from a 91 escort. maybe $150 total $CDN.
anyways my fan was noisy as hell, so instead of buy a motor from another Spal fan i replaced bearing and greased rear seat for shaft now it is quieter than new. cant hear it while riding only hum of fan when i get off my bike
part was 5 bucks and i have never taken a motor apart but got it back together. it was easy. it uses a 608 roller blade bearing.
anyone interested in a write up?

Your fan is a Polaris Part #2410288 its a 11". Most likely a Spal VA09-AP12/C-54A FAN (11") Part # 30100411 sells for $79.45. SPAL USA
My dealer wanted $320 Canadain for a new fan ,I got a new one off ebay for $65. Its just nuts there mark up on fans, even the best online parts sites want $210 U.S!OEM motorcycle and ATV parts from Honda, Yamaha & Polaris – Cycle Parts Warehouse
Glad you got it working again.
