Long Travel suspension for TB
#1
When I went to HPD an looked at the reed cage for the TB he told me they put the long travel suspension on it by putting the swing arm from the scrambler 4X4 on it an that the swing arm is also 1/2" shorte then the TB swingarm. But you get the longer travel for the rearend. It was the concentric drive swingarm

x_scrambler3,
No, you would have to use a longer swingarm to get more travel in the rear. I have a 3"+ swingarm on mine and (doing my high school math) have about 10" of travel on mine.
I also have the new Works struts (long travel) on my 1997 Sport with 1-1/2" wider A-arms. This makes the camber correct for the front wheels. The only problem I had was finding the tie rods for it. I had to have a machine shop custom make them for me.
How did the reed cage cylinder for the 250 look?

The reed cage setup looks great. As far as the swing arm deal gose if you look at the 2 swing arms the one for a scrambler 4X4 has a differnt shock mount on it it is lower on the swing arm an the one for the TB is farth up. This what HPD told me when I has there. HPD had a 35mm flat slide carb on the tb to an cool pipe that looks like the FTR design. They have 42 hp for it right now
