Check out UTube. There is a place called PureSports who makes video clips of most of the tires mentioned here. Its a much better look at them then just the mag pics, plus a little commentary.

I like the Mud lites for bang for your buck, and you get a choice of General tail riding "ATs" more adressivse "XLs" and more agessive again "XXLs" You can get Pricy Mud-Lite XTR Radial as well.

XL in this pic

These are the ATs you may want for general riding.

Spdecat - Yes, mine were the XD models, they ripped on rocks while riding in TN. Twice on two rides. The Bajacross have done three rides, np rips at all. I also chnged my wheels to beadlocks so if I got a rip, I could make it out - had to use that nifty feature once about 25 miles out.

I've tried all the major brands over the years including the Mud lites which we have on our 650 Kawi,I liked the Maxxas Zillas best out of all the AT type tires I've run but I guess it's a matter of opinion and riding conditions

The way you get a lot of miles on tires is to make then of a hard rubber compound.

Softer rubber grips better, that's why race car tires are made of a soft compound.

I had a set if big horns, I'd take a set of Carlisle ACTs over the big horns any day of the week.
