05 Trailblazer Clunk
I have a buddy who just bought an 05 TB. It wasn't what it looked like in the pictures....but he bought it anyway. So far he needs front hubs( when you jack it up the front wheels wobble.....and yes the castle nuts are tight), tightened the rear hubs, starter sometimes "clicks" when you hit the button, and the rear shock bottoms out with no effort at all I think it's minor sh**** but he thinks he bought a POS. Biggest question is What's the clunking in the rear. I did find a kink in the chain, but I think I was able to "lube" it out.

it sounds like he didnt pay attention much to what he was buying. anyways it sounds like the front bearings are gone. do not overtighten the nuts as it puts too much pressure on the bearings. check the connections for the starter cables and solenoid cables to make sure they are tight and not corroded. is the battery charged up good? so what is it for a bike if it's not a trail blazer?

I just bought a chain+sprocket set.....we'll see if it cures the problem!! Funny you mention the chain tension....my 01 is de-rainling the chain for some reason!

The front wobble must be bearings $9 each. Do not tighten nut over 14 ft/lb. Starter may just be a bad connection or has a sticky brush inside that needs cleaned and lubed to free it up again. Both easy cheap jobs.
If I bought a used chain drive ATV or motorcycle I would want two new sprockets and a chain just for piece of mind.
Chain $50 rear sprocket $40 OEM motorcycle and ATV parts from Honda, Yamaha & Polaris – Cycle Parts Warehouse
front sprocket $40 also.
