i havent rode it in over a year its been sitting outside in maine weather . i replaced the battery spark plug and fuel filter today. it just turns over but wont start up . the last time i used it over a year ago it was acting like the plug was fouling kept dying. the battery was dead then and i was starting it with the pull start and 2 pulls it would start right up but now it wont start at all there was a littlle bit of old gas still in the fuel tank . the old plug was a little black looking.

 

this 4 wheeler has been sitting over a year. drained all the old gas out of it put new fuel line on put new battery in new plug and new fuel filter turns over but no start. so tonight took the carburator apart sprayed it all down with carb cleaner sprayed in where the fuel line hooks to the motor put it all back together tryed starting it and it started right up ran for about 15 minutes and then died. we kept trying to start it starts up with full choke runs for a couple seconds and quits. it wont pickup the fuel. when you give it throttle now . should i clean the carburator again. what else could it be .

 

Take the carb apart and clean the pilot jet real good.

 

got it running lastnight the petcock in the bottom of the gas tank was plugged with crap. wasnt getting fuel. cleaned it out with a tooth pick sprayed with carb cleaner runs awesome now.
