hello i have a predator 500 07 and have taken the engine apart to replace a few things , now it has to go back together .

i need a new piston , timing chain/timing gears .

so my question is what are my options.

if i get a big bore (not sure which kind yet , open for opinions)
what other things do i need to do ,change cam shaft, port it new values , because the big bore wont add power if i dont do these thing am i right or wrong?


also does any one know where to get the gears on the cam shaft , the dealer will only sell the whole shaft included with the gears

 

I did a 500 ho and had it ported and put the 11.25 to one wiseco piston in it it was a good improvement , the person to ask is Rick Ridder, he has done alot of mods on popos, ask him he will answer.
