My dad has a 2007 Polaris Sportsman HO 4x4. It has developed drag in the front end with a noise as well. It only happens in four wheel drive and when coasting to a stop or break to a stop. In two wheel drive it doesn't do any of this. This started last Spring with no noise and now has got worse and developed a noise. When you are on the gas in four wheel drive there is no sound and no drag everything works fine and pulls hard and true. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and if it is a problem??? Would like to fix it and stop this before something bad or worse happens. Your replies are much appreciated.

 

Does it have ADC? Maybe change the fluid for the ADC and see if that helps

 

Do you know where the ADC fluid reservoir is located on a 2007 Polaris Sportsman 500 HO? Also, how do you change that?

 

If it has ADC it may be time to change the front drive fluid. Just be sure to use the proper fluid for the bike. Bikes with ADC requires demand drive plus for the front drives.

 

Think adc resevoir is under front by radiator cap

 

So is there anything I need to know to change it?
