I have a 97 explorer I rebuilt the top end in about 6 months ago. About a month after I did the press fitting for the coolant blew out and It got hot enough to turn the warning light on. Now a couple months later I'm plowing the drive way and I shut it off. It hasn't started since "a week ago" It has good spark and is getting gas but the cylinder doesn't sound like its firing. It backfires if I keep trying to start it.

I am ordering a compression tester now. Is there any thing else I should be looking at?
