I was told however from a locksmith in our town that he could cut a key(he has all the blanks on the wall) with nothing more than the code. Which Polaris said couldn't be done. i would recommend making a copy and put it somewhere safe. Cool that you found it to. Awesome luck!!!
You could very well be correct...But if I remember correctly when I needed a key I took one of my originals to the dealership to get a new one and the guy went thru an envelope of keys but none were a match for mine...Quite possibly they were just the blanks but I do remember getting it done at a locksmith...Sorry for any confusion...

No confusion, just wondered if it had changed since I was at the dealership is all. Wanted to know for future reference for my shop as well. I hope my post didn't come out wrong or offend anyone. Just trying to help.

I've learned through hard experience that you need to keep extra keys. Whenever I get something that has a key like an ATV, tractor, lawnmower, snowblower, tool cabinet, file cabinet truck box or whatever one of the first items of business is to get a few extras made. It doesn't cost much and it's cheap insurance. Label the originals and keep them in a central secure location then use one of the extras for daily use or for stashing on the vehicle or whatever.

It'll save you a major headache someday.
