I have got a tear in one of my boots on my xplorer. I have the new boot on there but can not get the large clamp on it. I have bought some cv boot clamp pliers to do it and cannot quite get it. I also have tried other pliers and still can't get it. Does anyone have an easy way to get them on? thanks for your help.

I have taken them off several times, and all I use are a pair of channel locks and a screw driver, flat head of course.

I have no problem getting them off, getting them on is another story. I can get it almost there but can't get it to clamp on there. I guess i should have someone else help me and maybe press down on the clamp with a screwdriver to get it on.
