Default tires and spacers for sportsman 800

looking to run some 28x10 and 28x12 zilla's on the 800 i'm getting tomorrow. i like the stock rims and really dont want to spend the extra cash to replace them. to clear the larger tires do i need to run spacers on the front and rear?

what is the largest tire i can fit with the 2" lift

yes you will need spacers to clear the front tires form rubbing on the tie rod ends or get aftermarket rims. i think maybe up to 29" w/ a 2 lift but 28"s for sure.

I agree with Sten. Check ebay for some spacers. Should get them cheap there.

yup spacers for sure in the front the rear will be fine i run 28" silverbacks with no lift and they clear fine unless i have lots of weight right on the back rack and when you run the spacers you will not be able to drive your wheeler in the back of your pickup unless you drive over the fender and most time when you are backing out the tires wedge in between the fender wells its just hard on everything but if you have a trailer you will be fine

So spaces will not be needed in the rear?

Can I run a 28x10 up front with a 1" spacer and a 28x12 rear with no spacer?
Would a 28x9 clear with no spacer?

Sorry for all the questions. Posting from my phone so searching isn't very easy to do on here

i would have to measure the spacers i had on before i said 1" spacers would clear a 10 inch tire in the front you will clear 12 inch tires in the rear no problem no a 9" wide tire will not clear on a stock rim unless you flip the tie rod ends underneath couldn't tell ya what size tire you will clear with 2" lift bud i would think if it's 2" full inches you should clear a 30" tire i will measure my old spacer's in the morning but i think they are 1.5" i have offset rims now i think when runnin big tires like a 28 or 30 i would spend the extra cask to get aftermarket rims those spacers put lots of stress on the front end not the best idea IMO but i will measure in the morning

i measured the spacer's i have and they are 1.5" not sure a 1" spacer would clear a ten inch wide tire
