Default Hillard clutch Question

Is it possible that the spring around the hillard can get tighter if the quad was run without demand drive fluid?

I suppose if it got moisture in it and rusted it may not stretch out anymore. Other than that i don't see how it could get tighter.

No there was no moisture, I have never had a problem with taking this kind of hub apart and putting them back together they are pretty simple and straight forward. I was unable to work on it today so tomorrow I have to take the other side apart and change out the seals as well. What I`ll do is take that hillard out and veiner caliper compare the 2 then put the one that I know is working on the side thats giving me the problems. Its got me baffled but i know there is a solution and I`ll find it.

sometimes the rollers and /or hubs wear down enough where they do not clear the cage or engage the hilliard hub race.measure inside diameter of hub race also.

Turns out it was a combination between the armature place and the housing spring around the hillard. Works like new now, these systems are so easy i just wasn`t seeing the problem until I switched sides. thanks.
