Question Wheel Bearing ?

2005 Sportsman 500 with the new style hubs (4x4 electronically activated in front differential).

I have excessive play in my left front wheel and have metalic clicking noise. Suspect bad front wheel bearing. I cannot find the front bearings on the parts schematics on cheap cycle parts.com. Can someone send me information about the front wheel bearing on the newer sportsmans (2005 and newer)?

Also, please send alternative part numbers for local auto parts that would cross reference to Polaris parts if available.

Your best bet is the Moose kit. You can get the same quality bearing for about half what Polaris wants.

Any tips on getting the old bearing out? Do you have to remove the strut?

Are these bearing known to go out?

I have 1,000 miles on the machine.

I also have a loos ball joint. Any tips on this replacement?
