Default plastic to metal oil tank...

I'm fixing to try and swap out my plastic tank for a metal one, I was wondering if anyone could help me out on details. It looks like they might have the same mounting locations but all the metal ones look like the oil line going into the engine is 3/8 and I've noticed the plastic ones are 5/8's this could cause a problem. please help me out if I'm wrong, any particular year to get?

I did the tank conversion on my '03 500, due to the fact that the brass oil drain plug insert in the tank was loose and leaking.
What i did was reverse the oil-pipe fittings on the engine and ran down to the hardware store for an elbow for the tank return line on the tank. Luckily, the tank i bought off of e-bay was sent with the old hoses, otherwise it would have been a plumbers nightmare. pipe threads on the plastic tank---banjo bolt on the aluminum tank.

Well I just changed my oil so I'll be doing the swap next change.

Are the older aluminum tanks lines both 3/8's? My oil feed line looks like it's 5/8's or so.
